Student Handbook

BSC's online Student Handbook provides information about services and resources for students as well as policies and procedures. The purpose of BSC's policies is to promote and maintain the college learning environment, inform college members of their responsibilities and aid in preventing violations of the rights to individuals. All students, online or on campus, are responsible for reading and knowing the contents of this online handbook. The student handbook includes information about campus resources, safety information, extracurricular activities, and more. The handbook lists offices, how to contact them and which offices you may need to go to for particular information. Specific questions relating to policies and procedures, and interpretations of specific sections within the handbook, should be directed to BSC Student Affairs.

Student Merit Pages

Your BSC Merit page gives you the recognition you deserve for your great achievements

During your time at BSC, we know that you will be doing great things, every day. It is important to us that we document and you get recognition for your accomplishments while you are a student here so we've created a personal BSC Merit page for you. You can think of your Merit page as a LinkedIn page for your academic achievements. Your page showcases your milestones and successes like enrolling at BSC, taking Dual Credit/Early Entry Fast Track classes, making the President's Honor Roll, being awarded a scholarship, winning academic competitions, earning degrees and many others. All BSC student Merit pages can be found at bismarckstate.meritpages.com. Every student has one! Once we create your BSC Merit page for you, you will receive an email with a link to your page. Then you should sign in and customize it by adding a profile picture, your academic activities, and additional work experience. Having a collection of college achievements will benefit you as you move forward in your academic career and later on when you seek employment. If you have any questions please contact bsc.studentnews@bismarckstate.edu. We are proud to have you as a student and we can't wait to publicize your milestones and successes at BSC!

Student Policies

The purpose of BSC's Student Code of Conduct is to support a safe, healthy and inclusive campus community that is conducive to learning where students act with honesty, integrity, civility, and respect for themselves and others. When students choose to attend BSC, they accept the rights and responsibilities of membership in the College’s academic and social community and are expected to accept and adhere to the high standards of personal conduct. Any behavior that interferes with these goals, whether on or off-campus, may constitute a violation of BSC's Student Code of Conduct.
